On the afternoon of February 27, 2023, Xinhui Overseas Chinese Middle School held a Chio Seng Lao Scholarship Award Ceremony in its lecture hall, to recognize 160 students for their outstanding academic progresses and achievements made in the first semester of 2022-2023.

The ceremony was hosted by Cai Lixin, director of School Guidance Department. Attendees who awarded certificates to scholarship winners include Ms. Su Yuhua, member of the Party organization and chief education inspector of Xinhui education bureau, Ms. Huang Xiaomei, vice chairman of the school's board of directors, and Mr. Zhang Yaorong, member of the school's Party committee and headmaster.

The ceremony began with all teachers and students singing the Chinese national anthem. Ms. Huang Xiaomei delivered the opening speech, introducing that the Chio Seng Lao Scholarship was set up to encourage students to study hard and achieve continuous progress. She congratulated scholarship winners and hoped they turn rewards into a driving force for further progress. She also encouraged other students to learn from these role models.

Youngsters should seize the day and live it to the fullest. Let's gather the power of role models, cultivate the dream of youth, and keep studying diligently, striving to be school's future stars and the pillar of our motherland.
